Takeaway: The union has worked with the state and the University to give members more time to consider whether to make a change to their health benefits. The open enrollment will now close on Friday, May 21.
Dear colleague,
We are pleased to let you know that, by agreement with the state of New Jersey and the University, the optional special open enrollment period for health benefits has been extended through Friday, May 21.
Here are some useful links to help you make an informed decision. The UHR webpage has additional information that might assist you in making a decision:

This special open enrollment is limited to selecting the (newer) NJ Direct/NJ Direct 2019 PPO plan or the Omnia tiered network plan. No other changes can be made. Dental benefits are not part of this special open enrollment.
Changes can always be made later, during the regular open enrollment period during the month of October. October changes will become effective on January 1, 2022.
In solidarity,
Todd and Becky
