President McCormick rejected the University Senate's recommendation
about 50% tuition remission for PTLs on March 27, 2009. His rejections of University Senate
recommendations thus far have been few.
PTL Vice President and Senate Representative, Richard Gomes, pressed McCormick on the specifics of this rejection in the Q & A session after his report on March 27 and he agreed to speak with Richard later. We are dismayed at this rejection of what was crafted as a revenue-generating proposal. McCormick's decision says it would be a "burden" on the University to implement such a benefit.
