On June 1, 2017, the Call for Nominations for this year's election of officers and Executive Board representatives was sent out to full union members in the Part-Time Lecturer faculty chapter.
Dear PTL Union Member:
Please be advised of a call for nominations for the Part-Time Lecturer Faculty Chapter.
Elections will be held for the positions of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. Elections will also be held for two campus representatives, a vice president for Newark and a vice president for Camden. In addition, elections will be held for 10 one-year terms on the executive board. Positions will commence on September 1, 2017.
Representing the interests of Part-Time Lecturers, Rutgers PTLFC-AAUP-AFT needs energetic, committed and capable people from all campuses to serve on its Executive Board. Being a member of the Executive Board can be challenging work as the Board strives to advance the Part-Time Lecturer profession. It is also rewarding, providing the stimulating opportunity to work with colleagues from different campuses and schools of thought. Roles and responsibilities of the officers and the board members are outlined in our bylaws.
Potential candidates should note that the PTLFC is working to create a more rigorous set of expectations for its officers and board members; the updated by-laws will be presented to the members for a vote later this year.

Nominees will be asked to complete a short biographical questionnaire and provide a candidate's statement. Nomination deadline is 4:00 PM ON FRIDAY, JUNE 16, 2017.
