Resolution passed by the Executive Council of Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters, AAUP-AFT on December 13, 2005:

Whereas:  A growing, active and engaged membership is essential to the effectiveness and future of our union.

Whereas:  Colleague to colleague contact is a proven means of boosting membership and building relationships.

Be it resolved that the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters endorses the “Talk to 2” program and encourages its members to participate by speaking with at least two colleagues a semester regarding membership or other union issues.

Be it further resolved that the union’s staff shall provide current lists, training, background information, literature and other necessary forms of support to members participating in “Talk to 2”.
