In response to requests following our posting of an analysis of 2006-2007 FASIP results, we have now posted here similar analyses for the two preceding years, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. These show consistency with some key results that emerge in the data for 2006-2007:
(1) substantial exclusion of eligible non-tenure-track faculty;
(2) higher percentage increases for female faculty, but on a lower salary base that does not improve sufficiently over the years to close this salary gap;
(3) variations by decanal unit and department, not always consistent from year to year.
We hope that careful appraisal of results for your unit or department over a three year period will assist chairs and peer evaluation committee members in making effective, fair recommendations in the upcoming cycle of enhanced salary adjustments.
